8:30 – Yesterday, Gormley caught up with APAS VP Ian Boxall, who accused the Province of throwing producers under the bus and blaming our deficit on large payouts from crop insurance despite crop insurance accumulating a large surplus over previous years. Finance Minister Donna Harpauer and Agriculture Minister David Marit both fired back in a letter saying the comments from APAS were “offensive” and calling for a retraction. Harpauer joins Gormley to respond to Boxall’s comments and explain just how crop insurance factors into provincial finacnes.

11:15 – A Georgia judge, in a moment of humour, wrote a one-page decision banning ‘Elf on the Shelf’ from Cobb County. The Christmas trend began in 2005, and has since become an annual tradition in many homes. But according to Judge Robert Leonard II, the decision was “a gift to tired parents” who are tired of staying up late and thinking of creative places for their “elf” to appear and to children who get distressed when the elf doesn’t move.
