The province reported 78 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan Friday— seven more than the day before — and one new death.
Active cases in the province is 744, up 11 from Thursday, with 68 new recoveries reported. There were two new hospitalized cases for a total of 136 in Saskatchewan.
Four patients are still in Ontario, receiving out-of-province care.
A look at the numbers
The 78 new cases were reported in the Saskatoon (18), central east (eight), northwest (five), southeast (14), Regina (16), north central (12), northeast (three), south central (two) and southwest (one) regions.
Three new cases are pending hometown information.
One hundred-two patients are receiving inpatient care in the province.
There are 34 patients in ICU: Saskatoon (16), Regina (13), central east (two), north central (one), northwest (one) and southwest (one).
Of the 134 patients, 90 — just under 67 per cent — were not fully vaccinated.
Total cases in the province number 81,225. There have been 79,552 recoveries.
The seven-day average of daily new cases is 64, down four from Thursday.
A total of 1,753,619 doses of COVID-19 vaccines has been given. There have been 838,289 second doses given.
A total of 1,284,263 tests have been administered in the province.
