Third Canadian Division is ending it’s mission at Regina General Hospital.
A group of 15 Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members arrived in Regina in late October to assist with surging COVID cases.
Members backfilled nurse positions, assisted in intensive care and helped alleviate pressure on acute care wards, a tweet explained.
In the COVID update Friday, the province said 136 people were being treated in hospital including 34 in ICUs.
That compares to 308 COVID patients in the hospital including 80 in ICU on Oct. 22 when the prime minister announced the army would deploy to Saskatchewan.
October also holds the record for Saskatchewan’s deadliest one month period with 157 COVID related deaths.
During their time in the province the military assisted transfer patients to Ontario for treatment as well.
