According to the Regina Police Service (RPS), there was more than one incident on Monday of an impaired driver crashing into someone’s home.
Officers responded to the 5000 block of Tutor Way in Harbour Landing around 3:38 p.m., after getting reports that someone had driven through a living room window at a home in the neighbourhood.
When police arrived, they found the driver and his vehicle a short distance away.
The RPS ended up arresting the 28-year-old, who was later charged with impaired driving and exceeding .08.
No one was hurt in this incident. The man is expected to make his first appearance in court on Jan. 11.
This was the second crash of its kind on Monday, after a vehicle hit a building in the 2800 block of 25th Avenue early in the morning.
In that case, the alleged drunk driver injured a person sleeping inside the apartment when the vehicle pushed some of the outside walls, along with a window, into an apartment and onto the man who was sleeping inside.
A 23-year-old was arrested for impaired driving causing bodily harm and exceeding .08 in that incident.
