A 53-year-old Canora man has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 14 years in connection with the death of a woman in that town in 2020.
William Richard Tuttle originally was charged with first-degree murder, but he pleaded guilty Wednesday to the lesser included offence of second-degree murder.
He was ordered to provide a DNA sample and was prohibited from owning a firearm for 10 years.

When officers and paramedics arrived at the house, they found a 59-year-old woman who was seriously injured. The woman subsequently died.
Tuttle was arrested at the scene.
