The search continues in the Weyburn area for a woman who has been missing for more than three weeks.
In a media release Thursday, the RCMP said searches for 77-year-old Frances Gazeley in rural areas near Weyburn, Ceylon, Minton, Bengough and Colgate haven’t located the woman or any of her belongings.
As a result, the Mounties once again are asking for the public’s help.
“Snowmobilers, people checking livestock and property or travelling in rural areas near Weyburn, Ceylon, Minton, Bengough or Colgate in the coming days and weeks are asked to keep an eye out and report any signs of Frances and/or any clothing or other items that seem out of place or normally wouldn’t be there,” the RCMP release said.
“Please report any related findings to Weyburn Police Service by calling 306-848-3250 or call your nearest RCMP detachment.”
Gazeley hasn’t been heard from since Dec. 7. Investigators from the RCMP’s Major Crime Unit have done searches in rural areas with assistance from the Weyburn Police Service, other RCMP detachments and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association in the past week.
The Mounties also are asking anyone with trail or security cameras to check them for signs of Gazeley.
Anyone with rural property in the area that they’re not able to search because they’re out of town and/or require assistance is asked to call the Weyburn Police Service or their nearest RCMP detachment.
