A classroom at each of two Regina elementary schools is to move to online learning Thursday due to multiple cases of COVID-19.
Regina Public Schools said a Grade 5-6 classroom at Glen Elm Community School and a Grade 2A classroom at Gladys McDonald School will shift to remote learning.
The students in the class at Glen Elm are to return to school Jan. 24 if they’re symptom-free. The classroom at Gladys McDonald is slated to go back to in-person learning Jan. 27 if the students aren’t exhibiting any symptoms.
The division reported cases also had been detected at Arcola, Argyle, Henry Braun, Ruth M. Buck, Centennial, Connaught, Douglas Park, Grant Road, Dr. L.M. Hanna, W.S. Hawrylak, Wilfred Hunt, Imperial, Lakeview, McLurg, Marion McVeety, Elsie Mironuck, Dr. A.E. Perry, W.F. Ready, Rosemont, Thomson Community and Wascana Plains elementary schools, and at Balfour, Campbell, Johnson, Martin, Thom and Winston Knoll collegiates.
The Regina Catholic School Division sent letters to parents about six cases at St. Elizabeth, four at each of St. Bernadette, St. Josaphat, St. Timothy and O’Neill, three at St. Pius X, two at each of Sacred Heart, St. Francis, St. Mary, St. Augustine, Deshaye and St. Nicholas, and one each at St. Joan and St. Kateri.
