One man has died following a crash involving two trucks Sunday afternoon on Highway 15 near Sovereign, Sask.
Rosetown RCMP were called to the crash around 12:45 p.m. Sunday to an area roughly 10 kilometres west of Sovereign where a westbound pickup truck collided with an eastbound pickup truck.
A 61-year-old man from Elrose driving the westbound truck died at the scene.
Both people in the other pickup truck were injured. The driver was transported to hospital by STARS with what are described as serious injuries. The passenger was sent to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. RCMP said there is no available update on their conditions in a news release Monday morning.
Highway 15 was closed during the investigation but has since reopened.
Rosetown RCMP and a Saskatchewan RCMP traffic reconstructionist continue to investigate.
