The Highway Hotline initially said the highway from Mortlach to Rush Lake was shut down because of ice on the road as well as reduced visibility. Later Monday, the road was reopened, but travel still wasn’t recommended from the junction with Highway 19 to Carmichael.
Similar advisories were also in place on Highway 4 north and south from Swift Current, and on other roads in the Swift Current area.
More information can be found on the Highway Hotline website.
