8:30 – Among the changes made yesterday by provincial health officials, schools will no longer need to be informed when a student tests positive for COVID-19, though any students who do test positive will still be required to stay home and self-isolate. The move was received poorly by CUPE, the NDP, and the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation, but Shawn Davidson with the Saskatchewan School Boards Association says they expect many parents will applaud the move while others will have concerns. Davidson joins Gormley to share the implications this change will have on schools, teachers, and students in our province, and which questions are still unanswered.
