The Regina Police Service has charged a third person in connection with a murder that happened in December.
A charge also has been laid in relation to another murder that occurred in the city in October.
In a media release Thursday, police said 24-year-old Natrone Marian Moran had been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Harvey Beatty.
Moran is the third person accused of killing Beatty, whose body was found in Greenberg Park on Dec. 16. It was Regina’s 15th murder of 2021.
Moran was arrested Wednesday and was to make his first court appearance Thursday.
Redwood murder
The other murder charge was filed against 23-year-old Hope Reign Cyr of the Punnichy area.
On Oct. 13, police found Peri A.N. Redwood dead at a house in the 1700 block of Ottawa Street. Redwood was the city’s ninth murder victim of 2021.
Cyr was arrested Wednesday and was charged with second-degree murder. She was to appear in court Thursday.
