A vehicle registered to Premier Scott Moe was taken away Thursday night, according to Vancouver Police.
Documents obtained by Global Regina show a 28-year-old driver was pulled over after running a red light.
The Vancouver Police Department said the driver allegedly failed a roadside sobriety investigation, which led to the Chevrolet Silverado, with Saskatchewan licence plates, being automatically impounded.
The driver was not charged with a criminal offence.
When asked for comment, the premier’s office confirmed a vehicle registered in his name was impounded, but that it would offer no further comment on a personal matter.
