Premier Scott Moe kept his cards close to his chest Tuesday, his first time speaking to media since the news broke about his truck being impounded in B.C.
Moe said it’s a personal matter and he won’t be making any more comments aside from the statement that was issued on the weekend.
“There’s times where we’re called on to support family and friends. This is one of those times for me to be a part of that support system,” said Moe.
The premier also admitted it has been a hard time.
“It’s never easy when you’re called on,” said Moe, but he explained he is providing that support.
A Chevy Silverado registered to Moe was impounded in Vancouver for 90 days after the 28-year-old man police say was driving it allegedly failed a sobriety test. The truck had reportedly been stopped after running a red light.
