A 56-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a truck Thursday afternoon.
The Regina Police Service said the man was crossing Elphinstone Street on his bike at about 4:10 p.m., when he was hit by a pickup truck that was turning onto Elphinstone from Avonhurst Drive.
According to police, the driver of the truck kept going before eventually pulling over and getting out. When a bystander told the driver he had hit a pedestrian, the man got back in his truck and kept driving south on Elphinstone.
Police later found and seized the vehicle, and charged a 49-year-old man with failure to stop after a collision that results in bodily harm.
