Four people now have been charged in connection with Regina’s 15th murder of 2021.
Isaiah Ryan Sparvier of Grenfell was arrested Thursday and appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Friday to answer to a charge of second-degree murder.
Sparvier, 26, was remanded in custody and is to appear again on April 1.
Aaron Craig Alexson and Toni Marie Manitopyes of Regina were arrested in January and Natrone Marian Moran was arrested in February.
They’re all charged in the killing of Harvey Beatty, a 22-year-old Prince Albert man whose body was found in Greenberg Park on Dec. 16.
EDITOR’S NOTE: The murder charge against Manitopyes was stayed in March of 2022 and replaced by a charge of being an accessory after the fact. That charge was stayed in October of 2022. The murder charge against Sparvier was stayed in March of 2023, when he pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily harm. He was sentenced to 420 days, or time served.
