A nine-year-old girl is recovering after Regina police said she was hit by a vehicle, which then took off.
Saturday around 12:50 p.m., police said the girl was hit in the 1300 block of Retallack Street.
According to officers, the vehicle immediately left without stopping to check on the girl. Based on this, they’re calling it a hit and run.
She was taken to the hospital hurt, but those injuries aren’t expected to threaten her life.
Regina Police are asking the public for its help in finding the vehicle or driver. Witnesses at the scene have told police the vehicle was white.
