A 68-year-old Regina man has been charged with sexual interference and sexual assault of a minor after he allegedly grabbed a 13-year-old girl Monday evening.
Regina police say officers were called to the 1900 block of Robinson Street shortly after the incident happened.
The girl told police she was playing basketball in an alley with two other kids when the man approached them. The victim said the man touched her inappropriately and then tried to pull her towards him.
The girl was able to get away and went home. Officers found the man walking nearby and arrested him.

EDITOR’S NOTE: The charges of sexual interference and sexual assault of a minor were stayed on March 22, 2023, but Johnson pleaded guilty to a charge of voyeurism. He was sentenced to time served and two years probation.
