A 22-year-old man from the George Gordon First Nation has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run collision earlier this month.
On April 3, a 52-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle, which left the scene. The victim was taken to hospital, where she died.
It was found later by the RCMP, but no one was arrested at the time.
After investigating, the Mounties arrested a suspect and charged him with failure to stop after an accident resulting in death. He’s to appear in Punnichy Provincial Court on May 24.
