An early-morning fire in Regina’s Rosemont-Mount Royal neighbourhood on Tuesday resulted in one person ending up in the hospital.
Fire crews arrived at a home on Grey Street not long after 6 a.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the main floor of the home.

The fire was quickly contained to the room it originated in. One person was taken to the hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated. Regina Fire and Protective Services says the damage to the home is extensive.
