980 CJME has been recognized with three nominations for awards for outstanding journalism.
The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) is made up of radio and TV newsrooms across Canada.
980 CJME is nominated in the prairie region for best radio newscast for its coverage of a snowstorm that slammed into Saskatchewan on Nov. 16.
It’s also nominated for breaking news coverage (for reports from the site of a train derailment near Craven on Dec. 28) and for feature reporting (for Lisa Schick’s tour of the Muskowekwan Indian Residential School in June). That latter story can be heard below.
The RTDNA is to announce the winners later this month.
