Council retroactively slashed $1.33 million in rent owed by the Roughriders.
Regina’s residential neighbourhoods will be getting spruced up starting Monday, weather permitting.
The City of Regina said Friday that street sweeping in those areas is to begin Monday.
“Clearing sand, salt and debris from our streets each spring helps make them smoother and safer for cyclists, pedestrians and drivers,” the city said in a media release.
Crews are to sweep Monday to Friday between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m.
The city is asking people not to park on streets on the days that sweepers are scheduled to be in their neighbourhoods, but vehicles won’t be ticketed or towed during this phase of the city’s street sweeping program.
Residents can get a notification when sweepers are to be in their neighbourhood by signing up here.
