Two teens have been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a 37-year-old man on the George Gordon First Nation.
According to the RCMP, officers from the Punnichy detachment and paramedics responded Wednesday at around 11:30 p.m., to a call of an injured person outside a house on the First Nation.
They found a man who subsequently was pronounced dead. He later was identified as Glenn Worme.
Police determined Worme’s death was suspicious in nature and a murder investigation was launched by Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes.
As a result of the investigation, two male youths — who can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act — were arrested and charged with one count each of second-degree murder. They appeared in Wynyard Provincial Court on Friday.
