8:30 – The provincial and federal green parties joined forces this week to call on Premier Scott Moe to abandon his push for nuclear energy in the province. In a joint statement, provincial leader Naomi Hunter and federal leader Amita Kuttner said pursuing small modular reactor technology would be “a disastrous misstep” when cheaper, cleaner, and more reliable energy sources are readily available. Hunter joins Gormley to explain why she thinks nuclear energy would be a bad move for the province.
