The Grenfell swimming pool doesn’t open for another week, but that didn’t stop a few youths from taking an early plunge.
The town issued a statement on its Facebook page saying a couple of youths snuck into the community swimming pool Friday night to an enjoy a “late-night swim and some alcoholic beverages.”
“Swimming in the dark, under tarps, while impaired is beyond negligent and irresponsible,” the post read.
The youths were identified from security video and their parents were informed about the incident.
The town said it’s exploring extra security.
Grenfell is 125 kilometres east of Regina.
