The Saskatchewan Roughriders’ offence will be without one of its top receiving threats Saturday.
Duke Williams has been downgraded to out ahead of the Roughriders’ game against the Edmonton Elks.
Kickoff for the game is set for 7:30 p.m. The Green Zone pre-game show is to begin at 5:30 p.m.
Williams suffered a left ankle injury during Wednesday’s practice and left that workout early. He wasn’t a participant at Thursday’s closed practice.
Williams, who re-signed with the Riders in the off-season, had five catches for 58 yards in a 30-13 season-opening win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last Saturday.
Regina product Mitch Picton will start in Williams’ usual slotback spot. Picton had 25 catches for 218 yards and a touchdown in 2021.
