A 47-year-old man is facing a charge of impaired driving in connection with the crash that badly hurt a seven-year-old boy Tuesday in Regina’s Walsh Acres neighbourhood.
Regina police said Wednesday that Charles Howard Raycraft of Regina had been charged with impaired operation of a vehicle by alcohol or drug causing bodily harm, as well as dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm.
Raycraft has been remanded in custody until he makes his first court appearance. A date for that appearance hasn’t been set.
Police said that just after 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a Dodge truck crashed into several parked vehicles, hit the boy, crashed into two fences and hit a house on Dunsmore Drive.
The boy is in hospital with serious injuries.
