A 12-year-old boy wasn’t hurt Tuesday after a hit-and-run on a Regina street.
According to Regina police, officers responded just after 7:30 p.m., to a call of a collision between a pickup truck and a bicycle near Broad Street and Fairview Road in Uplands.
Police were told a pickup truck that had been going east on Fairview stopped at a stop sign and then turned right onto Broad. As it turned, the truck hit the back tire of a boy’s bike as the boy was crossing the street.
The person who called police followed the truck to Rose Street, where it pulled over.
Police subsequently arrested a 25-year-old Regina man and charged him with failing to stop after a collision and driving while disqualified. He’s to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Aug. 15.
