The Punnichy RCMP is asking for the public’s help finding traditional Indigenous regalia that was stolen from a house on the Kawacatoose First Nation more than two weeks ago.
In a media release Thursday, the RCMP said the theft was reported June 6. The subsequent search by police hasn’t found the stolen items, which were taken from House 903 on the Kawacatoose First Nation sometime before June 4.
Three items — a white eagle fan, a blue and white beaded beret with feathers and a blue and white breastplate with feathers — were taken.
Anyone with information on the theft was asked to call the Punnichy RCMP at 306-835-5200 or 310-RCMP, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
The Kawacatoose First Nation is located about 130 kilometres north of Regina and 10 kilometres east of Highway 6.
