Police were called to Rae Street early Wednesday morning, where they found the male victim dead. A police forensic team and a coroner both attended the scene, police said, but very few details about the victim were made public.
“The deceased male is a young person,” police said in a statement. “The Regina Police Service will not be releasing his name at this time. Investigation in this case is ongoing. There will be more details for release as soon as information is available.”
