Three people are dead after two all-terrain vehicles crashed Friday night in northwestern Saskatchewan.
At about 11:15 p.m., RCMP officers from the Dillon detachment got a call about a collision on Highway 925. At the scene, the officers found two ATVs that were on fire.
Nurses from the Buffalo River Dene Nation Health Centre were providing first aid to the victims, and the Dillon Fire Department was called to put out the fire.
Three people — a 44-year-old woman, a 21-year-old man and a 24-year-old man — were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. All three were from the Dillon area.
Another woman was taken to hospital in Ile-a-la-Crosse for what the RCMP called non-life-threatening injuries.
The police investigation is continuing with the help of the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
