Buffy Sainte-Marie won’t be performing at the 2022 Regina Folk Festival due to COVID-19.
In a media release, the festival said the singer-songwriter is recovering from the virus “despite being vaccinated and following all protocols.”
“At this time her primary focus must be on recovering, but she hopes to be on stage again soon,” the release said.
Sainte-Marie was to perform at the festival on Aug. 6. The release said an updated lineup would be announced in the coming weeks.
