The RCMP is currently blocking traffic in both directions on Highway 1 near Belle Plaine, in between Regina and Moose Jaw, while an investigation is ongoing.
The Highway Hotline shows delays of up to six hours while people are rerouted to grid roads in the area.
According to the release by the RCMP, there is no timeline available for when the road could be reopened and there are very few details available right now as to what happened to cause the closure.
