Tornado warnings issued for areas of western Saskatchewan on Monday afternoon have been lifted.
Just before 4 p.m., Environment Canada issued the warnings for the rural municipalities of Snipe Lake, Newcombe, Clinworth and Miry Creek.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m., those warnings were removed.
However, a severe thunderstorm warning was still in place in the areas of Kindersley, Rosetown, Biggar and Wilkie.
According to Environment Canada, meteorologists were tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing quarter-sized hail and wind gusts in excess of 120 kilometres per hour.
Radar showed the line of severe thunderstorms stretched from Eatonia to Eston and was moving toward the northeast at 50 km/h.
Severe thunderstorm watches also were in effect in areas in southwestern Saskatchewan.
There also are heat warnings in place in northeast Saskatchewan.
