Saskatoon police have determined there isn’t a lingering threat after a phone call about a possible bomb was received at the University of Saskatchewan on Monday.
Shortly after 4 p.m., police were notified about the threat at St. Thomas More College and began evacuating and searching the building.
Soon after, staff and students were told to leave the Health Sciences Building, Murray Library, Place Riel and the Memorial Union building.
Police said a suspicious male at the scene was arrested and later released with no charges. A suspicious backpack was also located but it did not contain any explosive material.
Police gave the all-clear for staff and students to return to the building at 10 p.m. Classes and access to all USask buildings returned to normal on Tuesday.
