Environment Canada issued rainfall warnings Tuesday morning, covering several northern Saskatchewan communities.
The warnings were put into effect for the areas around La Ronge, Prince Albert National Park, Narrow Hills Provincial Park, Pelican Narrows, Cumberland House and Creighton.
The weather service said 50-60 millimetres of rain is expected, which should end by Tuesday evening.
“Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads,” Environment Canada said in a statement accompanying the alerts. “Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.”
