25-year-old facing charges after uttering threats, firearms incident

Regina Police say a 25-year-old man is facing various charges after an incident in the Eastview neighbourhood.

On Monday, police were called to a home in the 900 block of McDonald Street regarding a complaint of an armed man inside.

Upon arrival, police surrounded the home and one person ran out. It was there they received confirmation that someone inside had a gun.

According to a release from police, the suspect threatened two people inside and shot his gun outside of the door.

Police were able to convince the suspect to come out peacefully along with another male and female.

The 25-year-old suspect faces uttering threats, assault and firearms offences.

He made his first court appearance on Tuesday.
