About 40 people were affected by bear spray on the final day of the Queen City Ex.
In a media release Monday, the Regina Police Service said there weren’t a lot of incidents during the five-day fair at the REAL District. However, one occurred Sunday.
Police said bear spray was deployed near the ferris wheel, and around 40 individuals were affected. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Police said officers also dealt with three assaults, a couple of consensual fights and a few intoxicated persons or people who were ejected from the ground for disorderly conduct. There also were a few incidents in which people tried to bring prohibited items onto the grounds.
To date, police said, there haven’t been any criminal charges laid.
