A 21-year-old man initially reported missing from the Big Island Lake Cree Nation on Sunday is dead after a crash south of Meadow Lake.
At about 10:30 p.m., the Meadow Lake RCMP got a call about a collision on Highway 4 between an SUV and a semi.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The man who died had been reported missing to the Pierceland RCMP on Sunday evening, prompting a missing person media release by the Mounties. His family has been notified of his death.
The Meadow Lake RCMP is investigating the crash.
