After a severe summer storm ripped through the province on Saturday, another system barrelled through parts of central and southeast Saskatchewan on Sunday.
Hail ranged from the size of quarters to loonies in some areas. Around Fillmore, roughly 105 kilometres southeast of Regina, people reported the chunks being as large as tennis balls and beer cans.
In Regina, some people in the city’s east end reported hail the size of golf balls and winds reaching around 70 kilometres per hour at times.
Wow… I was having such a good sleep before all hell broke loose. Some huge hail, a ton of rain.
Ill check the cars and roof in the AM.

The strongest gusts were reported in the Weyburn area, with gusts around 72 km/h reported.
It wasn’t just strong winds and hail people were dealing with, according to Environment Canada meteorologist Natalie Hasell.
She says some people around Elbow, around 190 kilometres northwest of Regina, saw upwards of 56 millimetres of rain or about two and a half inches.

Another storm is possible for Monday
If you didn’t get enough storms through the weekend, Hasell says you’re in luck.
“It looks like we have the three basic elements for thunderstorms to form with rain, hail and straight-line winds definitely being a possibility today,” she said. “I guess you can’t totally discount tornadoes, but that is not the main focus of the forecast at this time.
“(It) looks like we could have a lot of instability later on today.”
Just before 3 p.m., severe thunderstorm watches were issued for the southeast corner of the province.
Environment Canada said the storms could produce large hail, high winds and heavy rain.
“A low-pressure system combined with an unstable airmass has led to an environment favourable for severe thunderstorms,” the advisory said. “These storms are expected until late this evening before weakening and moving out of the region.”
