The Tisdale RCMP says a 38-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly ran over a man with a vehicle on the James Smith Cree Nation, roughly 70 kilometres east of Prince Albert.
Shortly before 7 p.m. on Sunday, officers from the Melfort and Tisdale RCMP detachments responded to the First Nation after getting reports of what happened.
Upon arrival, the 37-year-old man was found seriously hurt and was given first aid by first responders before he was transported by STARS air ambulance to a hospital.
The vehicle and its driver were not found at the scene of the incident, resulting in police patrolling the area to find the suspect.
A short time later, police say they found the 38-year-old suspect and arrested her.
As a result of the investigation, the woman was charged with an array of charges including driving a vehicle while impaired, failing to stop after an accident and breaching probation.
She’s to make her first court appearance in Melfort on Oct. 3.
