The Hospitals of Regina Foundation has unveiled the showhome available in its 2022 fall lottery.
Tickets go on sale Saturday and all proceeds from the lottery will go towards helping local hospitals purchase much-needed equipment for patients. That includes cardiac care, pediatrics, trauma care, medical imaging and cancer care through the hospitals’ assessment centres and oncology unit.
Dino Sophocleous, the president and CEO of the foundation, says the HRF is hoping for another strong year so it can continue to help people get the care they need in the community.
“We certainly would like to sell out,” he said Thursday. “The foundation has a long history of doing that and this lottery is projected to add $2.3 (million to) $2.4 million for hospitals this year.”
Sophocleous said there are many different prizes up for grabs so everyone can help out the foundation.
“There are overall $2.3 million in prizes to be won, including our most valuable early bird package ever, which is a $700,000 cottage plus $25,000 cash,” he explained.
“In addition to all of this, there are cars, cash, trips, our 100 days of winning and of course our very popular 50/50 which hit a record-breaking amount of $1.23 million in our spring lottery.”
Some of the trips could take winners to Las Vegas, Italy or Greece.
The main prize is the $1.3-million dream home, which comes with a $100,000 cash prize.
The dream home is located in The Creeks neighbourhood and features more than 3,400 square feet in living space.
It features four bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, a big kitchen and pantry, an exercise room, a home office and more. It’s fully furnished and landscaped.
Tickets are $100 each, three-packs cost $250, five-packs go for $375, super packs cost $550 and max pack go for $850.
