Summer holidays may be over in Saskatchewan, but camping season isn’t.
The provincial government is reminding campers that sites can be booked online until Sept. 30 in nearly all provincial parks, with full services and amenities still available.
From Sept. 6 to Sept. 30, there’s also a deal available: Book one night of camping and get one free with the promo code FALLINTOCAMPING. The promotion is only available for nightly campsite reservations for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.
The government has a number of special events scheduled in parks throughout September. Those include:
- Sept. 3: Summer Cinema at Great Blue Heron Provincial Park, featuring the movie “Luca.”
- Sept. 9-11: Smoke’n the Valley BBQ Competition at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park. There’s also a special offer for nightly campsites at Buffalo Pound from Sept. 8-12. By entering the promo code BBQBOGO, campers can book one night of camping and get one free.
- Sept. 10: Summer Cinema at Pike Lake Provincial Park, with the movie “Encanto” on the big screen.
- Sept. 17: Back in the Boreal at Meadow Lake Provincial Park, featuring a guided hiking event.
- Sept. 18: Fall Guided Hikes at Echo Valley Provincial Park.
Blackstrap Provincial Park will feature Back2Nature Wellness and Adventures this fall, with an evening stand-up paddleboard and sauna experience on certain nights in September.
