Regina and some parts of southern Saskatchewan saw new daily temperature records set on Thursday.
Regina reached 35.6 C, which broke the previous record high of 35 C set in 1929.
Rockglen was the hot spot in the province with the mercury reaching 35.8 C, beating its previous record of 30.9 C set in 2016.
In total, eight places recorded new record highs in Saskatchewan.
Temperatures will cool down a bit on Friday before rebounding into the 30s for the long weekend.
Environment Canada says the above-normal temperatures will stick around into next week.
