Charges aren’t expected to be laid after an 18-year-old man was hit by a vehicle while crossing Ring Road early Saturday.
In a media release Monday, the Regina Police Service said officers responded just after 1 a.m., to westbound Ring Road west of Winnipeg Street. Officers were told a man crossing Ring Road had been hit and was unresponsive.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. Paramedics took the pedestrian to hospital with minor injuries.
“Investigation determined that the male had come from the ditch to cross an unlit area of Ring Road, and was struck by the vehicle,” the police said in the release. “The driver of the vehicle was not impaired, and no one is charged in this incident.”
