Police in Watrous are investigating the death of a four-year-old boy.
According to the RCMP, officers in Watrous received a report of an injured child early Wednesday morning. When they arrived, officers found the boy “in medical distress,” the RCMP said Friday. He was later declared dead by paramedics.
“Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is investigating the circumstances of his death,” the RCMP said in a statement.
The RCMP said police will not be releasing the child’s name or any identifying details, and victim services workers are providing support to the boy’s family.
Anyone with information on the death was asked to contact the Saskatchewan RCMP or make a report anonymously though Crime Stoppers.
