Highways in west-central Saskatchewan were still messy Thursday as a winter storm battered the area.
As of 2 p.m., the Highway Hotline said highways 324, 376 and 378 were blocked.
The Yellowhead Highway, which had been closed between North Battleford and Maidstone, was reopened.
Also opened were Highway 4 from Glaslyn to Battlefords Provincial Park, Highway 26 from Vawn to the intersection with Highway 4, and Highway 40 from North Battleford to the intersection with Highway 376.
Travel wasn’t recommended on a number of highways in the area, including Highway 3 from Glaslyn to Turtleford, Highway 4 from Glaslyn to Meadow Lake, and Highway 26 from St. Walburg to Loon Lake.
Environment Canada had lifted most of the snowfall warnings that were in place Wednesday, although a warning remained in place in the areas of Southend and Brabant Lake.
