Tyler Hubbard, Jordan Davis and Josh Ross will be rocking the stage for the 2022 Grey Cup halftime show.
Speculation had been rampant for weeks about who would play with the event drawing near. While other performers had been announced well in advance of previous Grey Cup Festivals, this announcement was coming down to the wire.
With just 16 days until the big game on Nov. 20 at Mosaic Stadium, the CFL announced Friday the country music trio would be the halftime entertainment.
Hubbard is releasing his first solo album on Jan. 27, but country fans will know him as one-half of Florida Georgia Line, which has been on hiatus.
The country duo has won multiple awards and has put out four albums — Here’s to the Good Times, Anything Goes, Dig Your Roots, Can’t Say I Ain’t Country and Life Rolls On.
Davis released his first album Home State in 2018 and his collaboration with Luke Bryan, Buy Dirt, is nominated for song of the year by the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Ross, a product of Burlington, Ont., released his song First Taste of Gone in February and signed a deal with Universal Music Canada in April.
