For anyone who’s seeing all the fun in Regina and who wants to get in on the Grey Cup action, there are still thousands of tickets available for the game at Mosaic Stadium.
On Ticketmaster on Friday afternoon, there were around 5,800 tickets to the game for sale. The vast majority of the tickets were re-sale, meaning someone had bought them and is now looking to sell them to someone else.
On Oct. 21, there were around 1,000 tickets total that were available to the CFL’s championship game. The next day, the Saskatchewan Roughriders were officially eliminated from playoff contention.
Just under 1,000 of the tickets available as of Friday appear to be newly released tickets as they weren’t re-sale tickets and most weren’t available in mid-October.
“As is the case (for) all major concerts and sporting events, when we get closer to (the) event date, ticket holds for various groups including teams and sponsors are released. This is industry standard and likely what you are seeing on Ticketmaster now,” a Roughriders spokesperson said in an email.
“We know that there are tens of thousands of CFL fans in town for Sunday’s game and it will be an incredible experience for all who attend.”
