8:30 – Last month the province announced the creation of the Saskatchewan Marshals Service, an additional 70 officers who will work in areas with high crime rates, arrest offenders with outstanding warrants, and investigate rural crime including theft and trespassing. But, the commanding officer of the RCMP in Saskatchewan says the money being spent on the new Marshals Service might go further if it was invested into the RCMP instead of a brand-new agency. Rhonda Blackmore is here to discuss the new Marshals Service and funding.

9:00 – Hour of the Big Stories…open lines

10:00 – Journalist Jon Kay has won his case against Richard Warman, a lawyer and board member of the Canadian Anti-Hate Network (CAHN). Warman sued Jonathan Kay and Barbara Kay for defamation and loss of reputation over tweets that connected CAHN to the far-left political movement Antifa.  The Ontario Superior Court of Justice ruled in favor of the journalists.  We hear from Jonathan Kay about the case.

11:00 – Last week, the city of Saskatoon chose Midtown Shopping Centre North Parking Lot as the location for the new downtown arena.  There have been some concerns about if there will be enough parking for everyone. The Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce has crunched the numbers and CEO Jason Aebig joins Gormley with their findings.

12:00 – Back in March we met Alex McPhee, a cartographer who was working on a detailed wall map of Saskatchewan.  The 24-year-old professional cartographer decided to develop the Saskatchewan map following the release of his award-winning map of Alberta. Just in time for Christmas, his Saskatchewan wall map is now available to purchase. McPhee joins Gormley to tell us more.
