A crash Tuesday near Tisdale has claimed the life of a 62-year-old man from Aylsham.
According to the RCMP, officers got a call around 10 a.m., about a collision on Highway 35 approximately eight kilometres south of the junction with Highway 335.
At the scene, the Mounties found two pickup trucks had collided. The driver of one of the trucks was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The driver and passenger of the other truck were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The RCMP is continuing its investigation with the assistance of a collision reconstructionist.
The crash happened just south of the intersection where the bus carrying the SJHL’s Humboldt Broncos and a semi collided in April of 2018. Sixteen people died and 13 were hurt as a result of that crash.
